Trust Board Election Results![]() The Trust Board announces that they have selected a new Trust Chairperson to succeed Robert Fowler. The New Trust Board Chairperson is Chris Lawton. Mr. Lawton has been with CPNZ since 2007. He has also been the National Training Coordinator since 2008 and a CPNZ Trustee since 2009. ![]() The National Council of CPNZ also advises that, as a result of the election at their meeting on Saturday 4 August 2012, a new National Council Chairperson has been elected. That person is Bill Feather.
Mr. Feather, a member of the Mosgiel-Taieri Community Patrol and the current District Representative for the Southland District, has been with CPNZ since 2009 and has been a member of the National Council since 2011.
Mr. Feather’s previous position as the District Representative for Southland became vacant on his appointment and the Southland District will shortly engage in electing the replacement. Mr. Feather is based in Mosgiel and his contact details are available here.
![]() At the same elections a new Deputy Chair of the National Council was elected. That person is Earl Taylor. Mr. Taylor, the current District Representative for the Eastern District, has been with CPNZ since 2010 and has been a member of the National Council since 2011. Mr. Taylor retains his role of District Representative while holding the position of Deputy Chair of the National Council. Mr. Taylor is based in Napier and his contact details are available here.
![]() The outgoing Chairperson, Mr. Robert Fowler, held both positions of Chairperson of the CPNZ Trust Board and the CPNZ National Council since 2008. Mr. Fowler announced that he was standing down from that role at the Annual General Meeting held at Lower Hutt in June this year. At the recent National Training Seminar, Mr. Fowler was awarded a Gold Shield award for his outstanding service to CPNZ since the inception of the organisation. A special vote of thanks recording their appreciation was also passed by the National Council after the Chairmanship was passed to Mr. Feather. Mr. Fowler is one of the few remaining foundation members and remains as a Trustee with Community Patrols of New Zealand.
